The New Year

Brings New Books, New Challenges & New Reviews

I have been blog hopping like crazy over the last week hoping for the chance to win free books. Since the big D, finances have become extremely tight. So, at the end of the day, there isn't really anything left to fund my book addiction. I pick up a few here and there, and try to load up on the e-sales when I can. Trust me, it takes some work to participate in all of them, and a lot of time.  I've lost a lot of sleep over the last week, but I'm not complaining, I'm beaming!

Even If I don't win a single book, I still come out a winner. I may be little disappointed, don't get me wrong, but like I said, I come out a winner. I have come across a lot of new authors and books that I can't wait to read. I have found some great review sites that just keep the books coming.  I found online reading challenges to take part in. I mean, who knew? Well, I guess you probably did, but I was not in the loop. I will post links about some of them later.  I would now but I'm just flat out tired.

This past year has been rough for my girls and I, but we're all pushing forward and making our lives our own. I'm extremely proud of my girls and how they've handled the situation. My oldest daughter works in retail, and starts college in January. She also has a big job interview on Monday. (fingers crossed it pans out for her) My other daughter is still working hard in school and was just promoted to Lieutenant in the Police Department's Explorer's program. I know, they're pretty awesome kids! I'm proud of myself, too though. I didn't let my self succumb to depression, I've been fighting it at every front. I'm making myself get out there and do things. I'm writing and actually submitting pieces. (That's pretty major for me, lol) I've lost 65lbs since the end of March. That's pretty awesome too, and I'm bragging! :)

My new years resolution is to get back into reading like I used to many years ago. So, I've joined challenges and plan to read my ass off over the next year. (As well as lose more of it, too!) I will add reviews for everything I read. I'm going to be reading different genres, but mostly Romance. That will get me back to reading full force! I can't wait for the new year to start. We survived this one, and the next one will only get better!
I'm going to be posting about the new authors and books that I've come across.  I will be updating my links to all of the great places I've found online. I will also tell you about my old favorites as well.

Well, it's 2am and I still have one more work day. So, I'll sign off and see you all tomorrow. Have a great weekend everyone!
